Cheryl is a first grade teacher by day and a flight instructor by night and weekends. She began flying in 1992 after taking a demo flight in St. Cloud as part of a class promoting aerospace activities for elementary kids. That demo flight opened the door to a whole new world. She got her Private Pilot license in January of 1993. After a few years of recreational flying in between her two (now adult) children's activities and her full time job, she decided to continue with her flight training. She went on to become a flight instructor in September of 2000. Cheryl has now accumulated 2500 hours of flight time, including over 2000 hours of dual instruction given. Cheryl also recently completed her CFII rating. Cheryl really enjoys instructing and sharing her love of flying with others. She loves meeting people and treasures the multitude of friendships she has made through aviation. Her other interests include gardening, singing and socializing with friends. Cheryl's favorite airplane is the Beech Sundowner she owns with four other pilots. Her favorite airplanes for instruction are the Cessna 152 and 172.
