With respect to an Instrument Proficiency Check, the Elite sim is classified as an AATD by the FAA, and as such the following tasks are not approved (from the January 2010 PTS).

  • Circling approach
  • Landing from a straight-in or circling approach
  • One engine inoperative instrument approach (multi-engine)
These restrictions may be found on the page A2-2 of the Instrument PTS FAA-S-8081-4E, under simulation credit..
