With respect to an Instrument Proficiency Check, the Elite sim is classified as a level 3 sim by the FAA, and as such the following tasks are not approved.

  • Unusual attitude recovery
  • Circling approach
  • Landing from a straight-in or circling approach
  • One engine inoperative instrument approach (multi-engine)
  • Loss of gyro heading and/or attitude indicators
These restrictions may be found on the last page of the Instrument PTS FAA-S-8081-4D.
